That depends very much on what you define as "weird" (you might just think these pages are ugly, and you would most probably be right), but it's quite possible that your browser isn't displaying them correctly, particularly if it's fairly old.
These pages are written using HTML 4.01 Strict and CSS 2.
If your browser causes these pages to look even more boring than they
normally do in other browsers, or causes incorrect fonts or colours to be
displayed, then your browser probably doesn't support CSS 2 correctly. This
applies to versions of Netscape prior to version 6, and probably to
pretty much any browser produced before 1998. Browsers that don't support CSS
at all (such as lynx, links or w3m) will display
the content of these pages just fine. (You'll only see the "Why does this page
look odd?" link at the bottom of the page if your browser doesn't
support CSS 2, since it's set as display: none in the
stylesheet.)
My recommended browsers on Unix-like systems are elinks, Firefox and Konqueror. On MacOS and Windows machines, I'd recommend Firefox. Other browsers that use the Gecko or KHTML rendering engines will also produce good results.
If you're worried just because this page looks different from when you last saw it, then don't worry---I do occasionally change the stylesheet.
